I don’t claim to be any kind of professional photogapher; I use a camera that I can afford and I take photographs of things that I think are worth capturing.

I believe that photography means different things to different people. Taking photos is something truly special to me because I become completely absorbed by what I am looking at rather then what I am. It forces me to see the beauty in everything, to seek beauty in the ugliest things. One of my all time favourite quotes goes; “photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still” – Dorothea Lange. Isn’t this just so true?

I don’t know much about technical photography, nor do I care to. My photos are for me and anyone who wants to see them. “A camera is a save button for the minds eye” – Roger Kingston. This is more then true for my camera, my photography is not about the perfect photo, it is about the memory. It is about sharing the beauty I see.

There is no such thing as a bad photo and in my opinion; anyone who wants to be a photographer, already is one. I love photography for so many reasons. I think in the deepest sense I love it because when I am looking through a lens, no matter what I am shooting, I feel completely disconnected from the reality of life; in the most wonderful way.
